Ryan Phelps Auto Sales was established in December of 2010. Ryan started out on his own with a two-car inventory he displayed in Newark, NY lawn while teaching high school social studies full time in the Newark Central School District. The company had no employees, no lenders and no reputation. Twelve years later, we are one of the fastest growing independent dealerships in New York State with huge followings throughout Central New York, Western New York, as well as the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier Regions.
We are now closing in on a 200 vehicle inventory and have some of the best financing programs of any dealership. We have 23 lenders in total, including but not limited to: giant national lenders, local credit unions and great first time buyer programs. We also have multiple lenders who specialize in bad credit and we even have our own in-house “buy here pay here” program that DOES build your credit. We now sell over 1000 vehicles per year and have countless happy customers. Around two thirds of our business is referral-based or repeat business! Some families have bought as many as eight or nine vehicles from us!
How have we grown so fast and with so much customer satisfaction? Its very simple: we are a customer-first, straight up, honest car dealer and we work hard, very hard to keep our customers happy and secure them the best financing possible. We have so many programs, we can very often get customers deals they cant get at the next dealer. Also, our inventory is so large now that you can choose from over 200 vehicles without having to deal with the pushy sales environment you’ll find at some large franchise dealerships. Used cars will never be perfect because they are used, but we have built our business going above and beyond to “do the right thing” for our customers.
